Tempdent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established mixed NHS and private dental practice seeking a Dental Nurse to join their close-knit team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for either a qualified GDC-registered Dental Nurse

About the Role

The Role

Working alongside experienced clinicians, you will provide chairside support across a range of general dental treatments while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing chairside assistance during general dental procedures
  • Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms to a high clinical standard
  • Decontamination and sterilisation of instruments in accordance with HTM 01-05 guidelines
  • Ensuring all clinical records and documentation are completed accurately
  • Maintaining high standards of cross-infection control and patient safety
  • Supporting clinicians with materials, equipment and treatment preparation
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of dental supplies
  • Providing excellent patient care and reassurance throughout treatments
  • Assisting with reception and front-of-house duties when required
  • Managing patient appointments and supporting the daily workflow of the practice
  • Supporting compliance with GDC, CQC and practice policies and procedures
  • Working collaboratively with the wider dental team to deliver an outstanding patient experience

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • GDC registered Dental Nurse, or currently enrolled on a recognised Dental Nursing course
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and punctual approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive "can-do" attitude
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Previous experience within a dental practice
  • Experience working within a mixed NHS and private environment
  • Knowledge of Pearl dental software

  • £14.00 per hour and above, dependent on experience
  • 50% contribution towards GDC registration fees
